RJin Atienza was selected to join the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement program. As a McNair scholar, RJin will be joining a community of research scholars who are underrepresented in graduate education. With the support of the program, RJin hopes to become a nursing scientist and practitioner in the future, exploring the link between inflammation and psychiatric disorders in the immigrant population, as he hopes to bring more awareness about the biological aspects of these kinds of disorders.
